Javea – the exclusive pearl of the Costa Blanca

It is not without reason that Javea is considered the ‘hidden gem’ of the Costa Blanca. First and foremost, it is a place that, due to its secluded location, can easily be overlooked. Therefore, unlike the nearby town of Denia, it is less crowded and quieter. As a result, Javea can still boast an authentic Spanish atmosphere.

What makes Javea such a prestigious place? Exclusivity is just the beginning. The town has up to 320 days of sunshine a year, and its Mediterranean climate has been recognised by the WHO as one of the healthiest in the world. You can also count on beautiful landscapes – a 20-kilometre coastline, paradise coves, cliffs and Mount Montgó, which rises above the town. Javea is the perfect destination for nature lovers, those who value peace and quiet, or those looking for an exclusive resort for their holidays or retirement.

The strategic location of Javea is also important. The Costa Blanca is located in the south-eastern part of the country. The town lies between Valencia and Alicante and offers easy access to two international airports (about 90 minutes' drive). This makes Xàbia an excellent option for holidaymakers looking to take a break from mass tourism. It is also a great location for those planning to move to Spain and investors looking for holiday properties with high rental potential.

Between history and nature: the most important attractions of Javea, Spain. What to see?

The most beautiful beaches and bays of Javea – a paradise for sea lovers

The old town and the port district are not all that Javea has to offer. The beaches in this part of the Costa Blanca are safe, delight with picturesque views and attract both numerous attractions and tranquillity in hidden coves. During your stay, it is worth visiting beaches such as:

  • Playa del Arenal – the main and completely sandy beach, ideal for families with children. You will find numerous amenities and spectacular views of the bay and Montgó Mountain.

  • Cala Blanca – known as the ‘White Cove’. It is the perfect place to escape the crowds, delighting visitors with its white stones and clear water.

  • Cala Sardinera – once a sardine fishing spot, today locals love to come here for sunbathing, diving and swimming.

  • Cala Ambolo – a wild beach in Javea with blue water, located near Cabo de la Nao. Remember that this is a nudist beach!

  • Cala Granadella – often described as one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. And for good reason – it is horseshoe-shaped and surrounded by two rocky headlands.

These are not the only places Javea has to offer. You will also find beaches at Cabo de San Antonio and Cabo de la Nao.

The best neighbourhoods to live in Javea – exclusive enclaves

When searching for property in Javea, you can choose from a variety of neighbourhoods, ranging from coastal areas to those located in the historic centre. The most prestigious are Balcón al Mar and Cabo de la Nao, with panoramic sea views. It is here that you can buy luxury cliff-top villas with private infinity pools.

If you value privacy, consider Tosalet, Adsubia and Montgó. These are villa districts located in the hills, ideal for those who want to live close to nature. These elegant enclaves are also popular with wealthy retirees and digital nomads. Closer to the centre, the Costa Nova and La Corona neighbourhoods are popular, offering a compromise between luxury and convenience with easy access to urban amenities.

Lifestyle and international community in Javea. The Costa Blanca entices with its exclusive everyday life.

Javea has approximately 30,000 inhabitants, including many wealthy foreigners from all over Europe. This gives the town an international atmosphere, and residents can take part in numerous cultural events or join one of the many associations. They also have access to exclusive amenities that contribute to the high standard of living on the coast. These include:

  • private yacht clubs,
  • golf courses,
  • tennis courts,
  • wellness centres,
  • international schools,
  • private medical clinics.

In addition, as is often the case in Spain, Javea on the Costa Blanca is a paradise for lovers of food and Mediterranean cuisine. There are markets with local products as well as Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Bon Amb Restaurant.

As you can see, Javea is not only an ideal tourist destination for those who value peace and exclusive entertainment. It is also a place where you can work or spend your retirement, as well as buy investment property. Luxury apartments and villas not only in Javea, but also in other towns on the Costa Blanca can be found in the offer of the Polish agency Elite World Estates.
